This is a personal blog acting both as public archive of original poetry/short stories and collection of journal entries about damn near everything. It is my hope that readers are either entertained by or can connect with what I write; however, this blog’s primary purpose is to focus my creative output, motivate my writing and allow me a means to process my life. Although everything I write is in some way inspired by something in my life, some posts were classroom writing assignments, prompts and otherwise altogether fiction. With that said:

My name is Natalie.

I live in Texas.

I fancy myself a writer.

Kurt Vonnegut, Tom Robbins and J.D. Salinger are my favorite authors.

I daydream. I sleep a lot. I work a lot. I play video games. I surf the Web. I often make no sense. I have panic disorder and have spent many years coping with depression, both are frequent muses or topics of my posts. I am also a journalist and advocate certain political and social changes I may discuss here.
